Shades of White

Hmmmmm well I was so taken with the elegant card I made for my friend I thought I’d follow the formula for my Sister in Law and make her a card for her birthday in a similar style so…….

I followed the style but decided to go for a single colour theme of shades of white, added some ribbon and a feather and I have to say I was absolutely over the moon with the finished result of this one, even more so than the previous one!

The stamped image has been embossed using cosmic shimmer silver powder and the nestie shape has been raised with foam pads.

Elegant Birthday

Hi all

Hope Christmas has been everything you could have hoped for and you have all had a wonderful time with your families. Just a quickie here, this is a Birthday card I made for a very good friend who loves elegant designs. Card made with a good quality matt brown card for the base some beautiful handmade paper, a Martha Stewart Doily Punch and nesties. The stamped image is the singLe buttercup from the Buttercup Flower Fairy stamp plate from Crafters Companion.

I was really happy with the finished result, and my friend loved it :)

I took the photo’s in a hurry, so the quality not what I would have hoped for! sorry!

EBAY marathon

Afternoon Crafters

I have had a marathon clean out of all my crafting stash and have started to list it all on Ebay, I need to make room for some new stuff :) – But I also have my eye on a Pink Slice, which I absolutley NEEEEED (you know how it is!)

This is only half the stuff – I have about the same again to get through, but going for a cuppa and a little rest, then will get going again :)

Also its my 40th Birthday in January, and hopefully Ill raise enough cash for a pink slice and a posh weekend away for me and my hubby! we need it, and also I’ll be away for quite a bit at the end of January beginning of February and in the 21 years we have been together we have never been apart for more than a couple of days, so want to have a lovely weekend with him before I go :)

Happy Crafting

Exciting news from Michele Marsden

Hello all

I’ve had a good old chin wag with Michele tonight, and I have some hot off the press news for you. I’ve known for a month now, but its offcial today that Michele handed in her notice from RHB 1 month ago and as of today she is working on new projects. Michele will be launching her own range of products in January, and will be going to lots of retail shows starting at the beginning of next year, which i know she is really pleased about, as she has been looking forward to going to shows for such a long time. I know Michele is a brilliant graphic and concept designer, so i am sure there will be loads of new goodies on there way to you soon.

With my new job at Crafters Companion, it’s a new start to a new year for us both and we are looking forward to being able to see so much more of each other.

Michele helped me out in the early days and I would not be in the postion I am today if not for her help in the very beginning, so here’s a big THANK YOU from me, and wishing you well in everything you do, I know you will be amazing.

New Moon Wooooooooo Hooooooooo

Morning all

I’m back from Craftaganza, which was very busy but great fun. Hello to all the lovely ladies.

I’m off to see New Moon this afternoon (the twilight sequel) and I can’t wait – I read all the books while on Holiday this year and I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed a written series so much.

So… me, Hubby and Son are off to F&B for dinner and then to the flicks, (where some Ben and Jerry’s will need to be consumed…..) taking my gorgeous sister with us too, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARIELLE, 28 today :)
