Hmmmmm well I was so taken with the elegant card I made for my friend I thought I’d follow the formula for my Sister in Law and make her a card for her birthday in a similar style so…….
I followed the style but decided to go for a single colour theme of shades of white, added some ribbon and a feather and I have to say I was absolutely over the moon with the finished result of this one, even more so than the previous one!
The stamped image has been embossed using cosmic shimmer silver powder and the nestie shape has been raised with foam pads.
Gone back to basics with this design, seeing Jayne at the craftaganza, (there are loads of photo’s on the Crafters Companion Website) has inspired me to dig out my medallion stamps – I think we should start a re-vival so ive started a poll 🙂 (ie tried to start a poll – cant get it to work 😦 I’ll keep trying and get it on here asap 🙂
I’ve had a good old chin wag with Michele tonight, and I have some hot off the press news for you. I’ve known for a month now, but its offcial today that Michele handed in her notice from RHB 1 month ago and as of today she is working on new projects. Michele will be launching her own range of products in January, and will be going to lots of retail shows starting at the beginning of next year, which i know she is really pleased about, as she has been looking forward to going to shows for such a long time. I know Michele is a brilliant graphic and concept designer, so i am sure there will be loads of new goodies on there way to you soon.
With my new job at Crafters Companion, it’s a new start to a new year for us both and we are looking forward to being able to see so much more of each other.
Michele helped me out in the early days and I would not be in the postion I am today if not for her help in the very beginning, so here’s a big THANK YOU from me, and wishing you well in everything you do, I know you will be amazing.
Morning all – just had to share this pic with you of my sister, Marielle’s, gorgeous little friend Kissy, who is a Pappillion, with a little bit of yorkie for good measure – in the words of Stevie Wonder – isnt she lovely ……?
Just packing all my demo stuff for Pins and Needles at the arena in Newcastle. Am on the Crafters Companion Stand, and will be there Thursday, Friday and Saturday…….. hope to see you there, come and say hello
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO went to see take that on Saturday night and they were FANTASTIC…. but our seats were poop! so ive had to borrow these pics off a friend who was there (hope you dont mind Nikki!) who que’d from 11am in the morning to get a good position. However, I am much too old for that and wanted a seat, but the view from where we were was very obscured by the stadium roof! Their singing was amazing though – all live and sounded just as good as a recording, true professionals! I dont think Ill go to a standium again, but if they go to a smaller venue Ill pay 10 times the ticket price to see them, I managed to indulge my girlish fantasy that is Gary Barlow! SWOON – LOL
PS – if your wondering about the funny costumes the whole concert was based around the “circus” theme 🙂
