All About Me!

leannchivers

Hello I am Leann Chivers, Head of Creative Development for Crafters Companion, Wife, and Mother to a very handsome young man, (and two beautiful Jack Russell Girls, Minnie and Tink)

I have been crafting for many years (too many to mention). My addiction started at the age of 5 when my Gran and Mum taught me how to knit and do cork work ! I have tried many different things including embroidery, tapestry, dress making, cross stitch, cake decorating, to name but a few. I now, as part of my awesome job concentrate on developing and designing papercraft products (but i do like the odd dabble with scrapbooking, and my new found addiction of all things fabric! I’m developing quite a stash ).  I’m also a bit of a foodie, I love to cook and bake, and go away for lovely long peaceful weekends in our touring caravan with Mr C.

If you would like any help or advice, or just a general chit chat, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

I’m really looking forward to finding out all about you too

Happy Crafting!

  12. Love you blog, and fantastic colouring, I have many specrum Noir pens and love using them, I do try to make notes everytime I see them demonstrated, but how about you writing a book/booklet about colouring with them, it could be sold on Crafters companion website?
Looking forward to seeing you all again at Craftaganza.

  13. hi leann

just stumbled on your blog from twitter and will now be a regular visitor. My little boy was over the moon with the welliphant card you sent following humphrey show on create and craft. It has taken pride of place on his bedside table with his hunkydory one.
could i ask though, how do you cope when you need to do an extra special card thats a bit sad to make. I want to get it just right but am getting so upset because its not working. Am using a swalk stamp btw.

    1. leannchiverscraft

Ah hello Emma, Dean and I love Welliphants too 🙂

With regard to difficult cards, I tend to go with less is more and no sentiment let the image speak for itself and just say I am here if you need me. Hope this helps

  14. Sofi Ritchie

    Hello Leann,
I am fairly new to crafting and have been looking for crafting courses to go to, but I don’t seem to find any. I live in the Midlands, but if I have to travel, then I will (depends on just how far). I watch Create and Craft all the time, and I have got some good ideas from you all there (great programme, by the way!), but I feel I need to attend courses to get more ideas and being shown ‘how’.

  17. Hi Leann, loving your demos! Sitting and twiddling my fingers till i get my hands on the Faerie Poppets and Angel Whispers Cds. My mouth is watering just thinking about them and the lovely images. I have quite a few Crafters Companions CDs but have never been able to work out how to make the envelopes. I know this sounds silly but please help. Thanks Janice X

  19. Hi Leanne,
Glad that you are enjoying your work in America and that all is well, although it will be nice to see you on our TV screens. Good luck and please take care.

  20. Hi leann I hope you don’t mind me asking you, I was lucky enough to win some(homework) from you when I emailed you last week about the spectrum noir pens, I have bought the complete set, is there a chart that you can follow to get the best results, or is it trial and error, and keeping a notebook of all the different shades you use, (hope this makes sense ) than you for your great demos shirley

  21. Hello Leanne, I have just received my Party Paws Christmas paper crafting CD-ROMs and my free CD – Rom can’t wait to start crafting with the toppers and card. I watched all the shows on Saturday and Sunday. So I have some good ideas. Also just replacing some of my original Spectrum Noir pens, but not getting rid of the originals, they will come in most useful when colouring the stamps which I have also brought, with my Brownie group
    from Carolyn

  22. Hello Leann,
Finally I have found your blog. It is in one word, fantastic. It was always a dream to me to colour my stamps with the spectrum noir. With your help and tutorials on the DVD’s, it works great for me. I really do want to thank you for all the efforts you do for us. Thank you very much, Leann. I am a great fan of you. I hope you have much inspiration to surprise us.
    Nice greetings.
    Nathalie from Belgium.

  23. Hi Leanne, love your blog!!!! Well done !it’s so informative.I have several Beatrix Potter cd roms and adore the quality of Crafters companion products and the fabulous demos on C&C…..I found a frame card with several Beatrix Potter frame cards attached and it is like a box/book with a ribbon fastening, this was one of your cards online.I am sure when Sara originally launched her range this sample was on the show and was part of a frame card kit etc.Could you please tell me if the instructions to make this are available anywhere please. It is a stunning piece of work and I really would like to have a go making one.
    Thankyou
