Bamboo – casual country stylee

Morning all

A little late with my post today, I have my wonderful little bundle of squideyness to stay, my Nephew Ryan 🙂

So here we have another CD sample for you today, of the fabulous Bamboo, have I mentioned that I really really love him.  I will be using Bamboo for my Nephew’s 1st Birthday card, which is in a couple of weeks time 🙂

I have gone for a “great British Bake-off, country cottage style with this one, I have used papers from the CD, an embossing folder 😉 which will be making it’s way to you soon, and a card companion.  This 8×8 card really shows how you can use your card companions to make a large card, as they really do make for a perfect topper too.  Printing on water-colour card really gives a lovely country feel too!

I have used a Kraft card base and done lots of matting and layering, distressing all the edges.  This is another one of my projects for the Crafter’s Inspiration Magazine which will be released very soon.  So if you want the step by step instructions, watch out for it, it has loads of amazing freebies in it.  My very good friend and work buddy Louisa McLean really does do an incredibly awesome job of putting these magazine’s together, she ROCKS!

I have used the Pennent Ephiphany Shape Studio and some contrasting paper to make the epoxy bunting and I love the effect.

I love our Diesire Lace Border dies, they are so use’able and really make lovely features, or little finishing touches.

I love using of the tags and embellishments on the card companion sheet, I’ve had these little ice cream cone embellishments in my stash about 5 years and have not been able to use them, but I think it worked perfectly on this card.

Now I have to admit, I am useless with scissors, totally rubbish, and so up to now I’ve not used these paperclip embellishments very much, but I loved it so much on this card companion sheet, I had to use it, and I have a cunning plan! Don’t try to cut all around it just simply cut around the outside leave the inside, when inking around the edge of your topper, ink the inside if the paperclip too and when it’s stuck on you cant tell it isn’t completely cut out 🙂 voila!

Make sure you are watching the launch at 9pm on Ideal World on the 5th March – you are going to adore Bamboo!

See you tomorrow with more stamping 🙂
