Waiting………. Sneek Peak

Hi all

Day three and here is the waiting Sneek Peak for you. Sorry its a little late, the trains were delayed on the way home last night, something had been hit by lightning! so did not get in the house till 11.30pm, and I am afraid I fell into bed. This morning I’ve had to pack my son off for his first day in 6th form, and answer all of yesterdays emails too 🙂

So here we go, this is my 2nd favourite plate, I love the little squidgey brother cuddling his sister, so cute. I decided to keep this composition quite simple, as the detail is in the scene, which has been built up with the rubber stamps. I stamped the tree with green stazon and added shade with copics, before you all shout NNNOOOOOOOOOOOO do you know nothing you never use copics with stazon!, I wanted to achieve the smudgey look for the free so I did it on purpose! and I think it worked :). The rest of the images are coloured with copics the tree and fireplace are stamped on the base layer and the little girl and boy are layered with Collall 3D glue gel.

The paper in the background is printed from the CD, its definitely one of my favourite, and inked around the edges with Victorian velvet distress ink. One of my infamous custom cuts for the sentiment completes the card, nice and simple.

Make sure you pop along to the rest of the DT’s Blogs and the Crafters Companion News Views and Inspiration Blog to see the other Sneek Peaks for today, and find the blogs of the other DT members too.

Happy Crafting

PS dont forget to leave a comment for a chance at my Candy 🙂

  1. Another lovely card.

And what a clever idea for the tree. I have only got a black StazOn ink pad, but might try how much of a smudgey look I could get with VersaFine ink pads when I use ProMarkers immediately after stamping an image.

  2. These are “Adorable” aren’t they!!! Thanks for another sneeky peek, your card is gorgeous – can’t wait till Friday!!!
