Distressed Mum!

………. No don’t worry she is fine :), but I have made a distressed card for a Mum πŸ™‚

Not really ... just a distressed card for a mum πŸ™‚

OK – a couple of days a go a work colleague and friend gave me a little talking to about the lack of posting, and she is quite right I should be ashamed of myself, thank you Claire for the wake-up call, have a peek at Claire’s blog, she has some beautiful stuff on there

So, I got out my stuff and had a little play ….. This card has been made using Coredinations cardstock in olive-green, Cuttlebug floral embossing folder, Versa magic, spanish Olive chalk dew drop ink pad, making memories Slice Machine with the Noteworthy Cartridge and some Olive Green Ribbon.

For the distressed crumpled panel, give a piece of coredination card a light mist with water, and scrumple up in your hands, flatten and with a sanding block, sand and distress the card. With a hot iron put the piece of card in the middle of two pieces of old cloth and iron flat …. tear down the right hand side and ink the tear with chalk ink. Run a cream panel of card through the cuttlebug with the floral folder, and rub the chalk ink pad over the embossed design, also ink the edges of the panel. Using the Slice and Noteworthy cartridge, cut out some flower layers from cream card and coredinations. Sand the coredination layers and ink the cream layers, crumple and shape and layer the flowers, finish the centre’s with brads, pearls or both!. Wrap a piece of olive satin ribbon around the centre panel and stick to the card base. Arrange the flowers in the top left and cut a decorative panel for your sentiment, again using the Slice and Noteworthy Cartridge, this sentiment is from the Peter Rabbit stamp plate……..

…….and voila a distressed mum πŸ™‚
