Crafter’s Companion Design Team Calls….

Good Evening

I am announcing two exciting DT calls, for our dedicated Crafter’s Companion and Die’sire Design Teams.

So if you have an eye for design and it shows in all of your crafty projects! (Admit it  you are very proud of what you create.) It’s okay to be proud of your talent because now your design skills can get the spotlight they deserve. You will be part of a select group of people who will work closely with me on producing the highest quality samples for TV, Trade and Retail shows.

I am looking for several, UK (and Ireland) based  individuals who will be able to think outside of the box and create samples, projects, and inspiration using all of our products to create, elegant, stylish and unique creations which will inspire our customers and viewers.  All individual craft styles are welcome, Fun, Fresh, Unique, Vintage, Grunge, Shabby Chic, Contemporary and everything else in between – all are welcome.  The term will be for 12 months and is very fast paced so we need dedicated individuals who can work to strict deadlines and allocations set by the Design Team Manager Sharon Callis.

What you need to do:

Specify in your application  if you are applying for the Main Crafter’s Companion Team, Die’sire Team or Both!, yes you can apply for both.

  • Send me a minimum of three  images of your favourite projects:
    • For the Die’sire DT applications – include dies and/or embossing folders. The ones that really highlight your exceptional design skills. Projects can include any products but, of course, we’d love to see your use of Crafter’s Companion products too.
    • For the Main Crafter’s Companion DT – include, if possible, examples of any crafter’s companion products you have used such as The Ultimate Pro, Our CD’s or rubber stamps, Die’s or embossing folders – if you don’t have any of these to show us, just show us your very best work, the stuff you are most proud of.

If you are applying for both – you will need to send 6 examples 3 for each.

  • The one hard and fast rule is that they have to be your own original creations.
  • Include a list of past and Current Design Team memberships (DT experience not essential)

The deadline for submission is Monday 24th February 2014.

If you’re chosen as one of my new DT Members, you’ll hear from the Design Team Manager Sharon Callis no later than 5pm Friday 28th February 2014.

As a new DT Member, you’ll receive a starter kit relevant to the team you join, with regular top ups throughout your 12 month term.

When you submit your projects, please include:

(If you do not include all of the below, I will be unable to consider your application)

  • Full name
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Blog address
  • Full details of the products used in your projects
  • Any specific technique used in the projects
  • Number of years crafting

  • Other design teams you’re part of or have been part of (provide links to project galleries, if available)

  1. well I would like to be on the design team but sadly I have to disagree with Leann and say, I never like ANYTHING I make 🙂

  2. Unfortunately I don’t ave a blog really upset

I am sure you could set one up Julie 🙂 – if you dont have one now still apply but you would absolutely need one if you were selected 🙂 – hope that helps – L 🙂

I am a new crafter and wondered if you would consider me for part of the design team but as a beginner. I have watched many shows etc and have often felt quite inadequate and lost and just didn’t have any idea what crafters were talking about and often thought maybe if someone had a show or blog that followed a beginner and it would give other beginners a little hope as they would be learning alongside an actual novice. Hope this makes sense!
    Kind regards

  4. Thanks for the opportunity Leann xxx

  5. leann could you please help me with the sprectrum noir pens. I just can’t seem to grasp the concept. I got my pens out this morning (haven’t used them in over a year) to have another go and gave up.I don’t want my pens to dry up as they cost a lot of money.I have all of the pens. Please HELP.

      Hi Kathy

There are lots of youtubes showing you how to get started you can find them here you could also consider getting my newest DVD where I teach you from the very beginning – you can find that here

      Have fun

      L

    2. Hi Kathy, I find with all alcohol pens the colours can look quite garish and scary when wet but then once they dry out are more muted and natural looking.

Leann’s DVD’s are a great starting point but if there is one thing I found when using alcohol pens – don’t give up or be disheartened, it just takes practice 🙂

  6. wow I bet its exciting even if it is meeting deadlines x

    1. I’m interested in applying but you don’t say how many projects per month/week and as I have fibro I don’t want to commit to more than I could do,

  8. Hi Leanne
I have almost finished all of the required card samples for the Design Team Call, but was wondering if you needed a list of materials used in all of the cards or just a list of things that aren’t Crafters Companion, such as embellishments, dies and embossing folders.
    Thanks a lot
    Dianne xxx

    1. leannchiverscraft

list the lot if you can

      1. Okay, thank you so much!
Might be easier just to go through one card at a time!
I’m not brilliant at dies and embossing, but have decided to give it a go this time, so I hope they are okay!
        Take care x

  9. A wonderful opportunity. Just a quick question – I will be away from 23rd Feb to 2nd March (first holiday in 5 years!) – would this be a problem? Getting my application together so that I can send in before I go. Many thanks, Anne x.

    1. leannchiverscraft

      No problem

      1. Oooh great. I had better get cracking then. Thanks Leann x

  10. Hi Leann, I am so excited!!! I have my “happy parcel” from Create and Craft already after ordering it on Monday! Brilliant! Guess what I’ll be doing tomorrow!!! Yay!! xxx

  11. Could you please advise how many projects you would require from each team member each month, I love to create projects of a high standard but would not want to over stretch my design team commitments or find that I would have to rush out lots of projects that didn’t meet my quality standards? Thanks

    1. leannchiverscraft

Email the address in the blog post and we will help you out x
